Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline “Jackie”. Loving father of Michael (Stephanie), Louise and the late Marc (Daniela). Dear grandfather of Matthew, Alexis and Savannah. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road)on Friday, April 28, 2017 after 10 am, followed by a celebration of Gene`s life at 11 am in the chapel.
