LEMAIRE, George Elvary, 1934 – 2018. Peacefully passed away at the Glebe Centre on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the age of 84 years. George was truly a great man and devoted husband to Luella. Preceded in death by sisters Helen Multamaki and Adeline (Lloyd) Rouse. Dear brother-in-law of Eero Multamaki. Loving father of Edward (Sylvie), Daniel (Jacqueline), Ronald (Jeanne), and Jason. Caring grandfather of Nadia, Maya, Danielle, Hayden, Coby, Madeleine, Zachary, Jonathan, Remi, Amielle and Elijah. George will be fondly remembered by his colleagues and students from his teaching career at Hillcrest, Woodroffe, and Rideau High Schools, as well as for his love of sports and playing curling, softball, and hockey. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at The Glebe Centre (77 Monk Street, Ottawa), 2nd floor, with visitation starting at 1:00pm followed by a service at 3:00pm. If friends so desire, memorial tributes to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
