Passed away peacefully at the Centre d'accueil Champlain surrounded by her girls on April 13, 2014 at the age of 85 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer. Loving and devoted mother of Janet Bélanger, Carol (Augusto) Pereira, Joan Riznek (Jorge Ricardo) and the late Arlene Marcotte. Proud grandmother of Natalie (Marcel), Mark (Geneviève), Raphael (Shannon), Julie (Mario), Jacob, Matthew and David. Cherished great-grandmother of six and survived by her brother Ronald (Rose) Ladouceur. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Predeceased by her parents Maria Saumur and Raoul Ladouceur, her husband of 25 years William Riznek and her siblings Maurice, Gérard, Aldège, Thérèse and Marcel (Léo). Her dedicated work at OC Transpo for 13 years brought her many rewards and recognition from colleagues as well as her many years of volunteer work for her church and community. The family would like to thank the staff at Centre d'accueil Champlain and especially Carole Bourgeois. Visitations at Racine, Robert & Gauthier, 180 Montreal Road Ottawa on Monday April 21 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral mass followed by a reception will be held at Notre- Dame-de-Lourdes Church, 435 Montreal Road Ottawa on Tuesday April 22 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated.
