Sad news to learn of an old colleague who was so young at heart. We hadn't worked together since I left Montreal in 1990, but I fondly remember the fun times at Gerry's photo studio when we were young, and still had the world before us. So long friend. It was good knowing and working with you, and sincere condolences to your family, who will always hold a special place for you in their hearts.

My sincerest condolences Colleen. I was deeply hurt when hearing the sad news. I have been trying to write something about Gerry for days. After telling stories and laughing for 2 hours at breakfast this morning (with Wally Klus) I can put some thoughts together. I have great memories of going on camping trips, fishing Trips, a fearless rugby player, replacing a tin roof on an old country home, the photographer (an excellent one) at my wedding....so many great times and laughter and not enough space to write them. Gerry was a great friend that had a true love of nature and has a sincere, courageous, and funny personality. You will be missed Max! RIP


  My heart was broken when I heard about Gerry's passing. We grew up together in Verdun and we were great friends 
in elementary, high school and after. Gerry was a bundle of energy and whenever we hung out, it was non-stop laughing.

Colleen, I want to tell you how sorry I am and hope that you will remember Gerry's laugh as long as you live. My condolences 
also to Sharon. RIP McGa. 

You are the bravest, kindest man. I feel I have lost a limb as you are and ever will be an essential part of my life.  Ger,  you are in my heart and thoughts which will remain until we are together again. We have shared wonderful times. Save a spot for me beside you.  Hug Mom and Dad for me.

My condolences to the entire family. Spent much time with Gerry when he lived on Rolland. We built a ‘dark room’ in the basement. The start of our budding photography careers. 
We last spoke on the phone many years ago, he somehow found me via email. It was like we were back in Verdun. I wish we stayed in touch.
