It is with sadness that we announce the passing of the late Mr. Gilles Mayer. He passed away on July 4, 2022 at the age of 58. He was the son of the late Ernest Mayer and Denise Mayer, and the husband of Pierrette Mayer.
He leaves in sorrow his children, Stephane Mayer (Elizabeth Desormeaux), Gilles Junior Mayer (Valérie Gibeault) and Jason Mayer. Gilles leaves in sorrow his grandson Damian Mayer. He also leaves his sisters and brothers in sorrow, Francine Mayer, Louise Mayer, Christine Michon, Robert Mayer and Richard Mayer.
He was predeceased by his son Patrick Mayer and his brother Denis Mayer.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses from the Montfort Hospital who cared for him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Paroisse St-Geneviève, 825 Canterbury Avenue. The burial of the ashes will follow at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank Street.
