It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guy Charest. He left this world suddenly at the Cornwall Hospital on July 3, 2025, at the age of 87 years old. Born in St-Wenceslas, Quebec, he was the son of the late Arthur Charest and of the late Simone Cyrenne. He was the loving husband of the late Pauline DeCarufel (2010) and of the late Alicia Fernandez (2022). He was the caring father of Lynn (Danny Thibault), Denis (Caroline), Jo-Ann (Michel Rosenberg).
He leaves behind in mourning his grandchildren: Nick Thibault (Julie) and Malorie Charest (Dave), his great grandchildren: Jesse, Kyle, Ryder and Adalya as well as his brother Gilles.
Our family wishes to thank the staff at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge as well as the staff at the Manoir Carillon for the wonderful care they gave to guy during these trying times.
A memorial service will be held at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home’s chapel (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario) on Saturday July 19, 2025, at 11 AM. The family will be receiving condolences as of 10AM.
