Ida Daly, age 98, died peacefully on January 5, 2026, surrounded by family. Ida was a strong and giving woman who lived her entire life in accordance with her values of faith and love. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Tom Daly, to whom she had been happily married for 69 years. She was the loving mother of Susan (deceased), Robert (Jennifer), Jan (Bill), Glen (Sharon) and Lauri (Dinis); and proud grandmother to Shauna (Tyler), Blake (Rianne), Bradley (Gigi); Bob (Sage), Ryan-James (Gwen), Abigail, Victoria; Alexandra (Vincent), Patrick; James (Ruby), Liam, Grace and great-grandmother to six beautiful boys. Predeceased by her sisters Lillian Demerah, Katherine (Kay) O`Connor and Marcella Brennan.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at McEvoy Shields (1411 Hunt Club Rd) on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 4 pm to 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Monica`s Church, (2080 Merivale Road) on Thursday, January 15th at 11:00 am, followed by a lunch in the parish hall. Internment will take place in the Spring at St. Martin`s Catholic cemetery, Martindale, Low Quebec.
