Jean Paul Fournier

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of M. Jean Paul Fournier who passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 93. He was the son of the late Isaïe Alexandre Fournier and the late Évélina Laframboise as well as the beloved husband of Suzanne Denise Castagne (Fournier).

He leaves in sorrow his children; Michel Fournier, Robert Fournier, Denis Fournier and Marc Fournier, his grandchildren; Renée Sue-Anne Fournier-Horton, Michelle Fournier-Davis, Natalie Fournier, Jean-Marc Fournier, Danielle, Zach, his great-grandchildren; Ryan Horton, Luke Horton, Alex Horton, Lana Davis and Samual Davis as well as many Fournier and Castagne nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his father, Isaïe; his mother, Évélina; his brother, Jack (Émile); his sisters, Thérèse, Pauline, Rita and Denise.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, staff, and the doctor at the Pavilion in Embrun, Ontario, for the attentive care they gave JP, as they liked to call him. They would also like to thank the Winchester Hospital staff who gave JP such loving care.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario.
