It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeannine Mongeon on October 17th 2012, at the age of 80. Predeceased by her husband Léo Mongeon, her father Alexandre Brousseau, her mother Mathilda Laurin Whissell and her stepbrother Lucien Whissell. Leaving behind special friends: best friends Rosaire and Ghislaine Laflèche who have looked after her well being for the last 35 years, the Regalbuto family who have been with her for 63 years and Ronald and Suzanne Brousseau who have taken excellent care of Jeannine. She also leaves her godchildren: Diane Cox, Lynn Mongeon, Michel Sauriol, Pierre Latrémouille, Troy Ladds and Roxanne Périard. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, her sister-in-law Carmelle Mongeon and her brother-in-law Maurice Mongeon. Jeannine's Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday October 24th 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church (435 Montreal Rd, Ottawa). In Memory of Jeannine, donations to the Canadian Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
