Jerzy passed away peacefully. Beloved husband of 39 years to Barbara (nee Maciejewska). Survived by his sister Irena Ogryczak. He will be missed by cousins, the large Konopacki family and his family in Poland. Born in Warsaw, Poland, participated in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Studied in Warsaw after the war, PhD. in Thermodynamics. Came to US in 1964, worked at MIT, Cambridge and Stanford University. Moved to Canada in 1968, worked at NRC in Aerospace Research. He was a Canadian representative at NATO; also was involved in projects such as APOLLO and space station CANADARM. His favorite hobbies were photography and gardening. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at St. Monica Church (2080 Merivale Rd) at 1PM.
