She was predeceased by her siblings Noreen Hawley, Emmett Hawley (Ann), and Earl Hawley (Jean). She is lovingly remembered by her brother Robert Hawley (Anne), as well as her cherished nieces Christina Hawley (Geoff), Dawna Hawley (Marc), Sarah Hawley (Eddie), Lee Hawley (Dave), and Angela Hawley (Joe).
She will also be fondly remembered by her great-nieces and great-nephews William, Alexander, and Daniel Weiss; Samuel and Joseph Lyon; Robert and Johanna Bleich; and Ben, Matthew, and Charlotte Hawley, along with many extended family members and friends.
Joan dedicated many years of her life as a daycare teacher, a role that perfectly reflected her nurturing spirit and boundless patience. She had a special gift with children, who were naturally drawn to her warmth, gentleness, and caring nature. Beyond her professional life, Joan lovingly babysat many of her nieces throughout the years, creating treasured memories and forming bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Joan was the kind of person who moved through the world with quiet goodness. Kind in every interaction and gentle in every moment, she made people feel valued, cared for, and loved. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and her generous heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Whether through the children she taught, the nieces she cared for, or the family and friends whose lives she enriched, Joan leaves behind countless cherished memories. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
May she rest in peace.
