Loving brother to Mary Jo Von Zuben (nee Granery)(the late Paul), Caring uncle to John (Christina), Terence (Heather), the late Paul Jr. (Donna), the late Anne Marie and Jamie (Sonya). John will also be remembered by his grandnieces and nephews; Michael, Andrew (and godfather) to Katherine, William, David, Emily, Sarah, Caeleigh and Amie.
John was passionate about cars, in his youth he worked as a mechanic which led him to a fulfilling career with Transport Canada. He was an expert on vehicles and enjoyed restoring vintage autos. He loved sharing his knowledge with family and friends. Special thanks to his good friends Darlene and Jacques for all their care.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON. A Funeral Service for John will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow.
