It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Josie Brown on October 23, 2026, at the age of 75.
Devoted wife of 56 years to Gord Brown, beloved mother of Richard, Debbie (Brian), Shane, and Dave. Loving grandmother of Meghan, Morgan, Serena, and Brennan. Cherished sister of Frank (Denise), Eli, and Joe. Josie will be deeply missed by her goddaughter, Sherry, her many nieces and nephews, and her fur babies, Kc and JoJo.
She was predeceased by her father, Nick; her mother, Nazima; her sister, Hinda; her brother-in-law, Stan; her sister-in-law, Cheryl; and her nephew, Jon.
Josie remained playful, feisty, and tough as nails to the end.
Josie was laid to rest on October 28, 2026, in the presence of her immediate family and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Josie’s memory to Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice through Hospice Care Ottawa or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
