Judy passed away at the Ottawa Hospital on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the age of 91 years.
Judith will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John, daughter, Leslie (the late Martin) Golding, granddaughter, Elizabeth Golding, son, Graham (Caroline), and grandson, Alexander. Judith was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Daisy Strum
Judy was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in 1935. She attended Dalhousie University and the University of North Carolina. She married in 1961 to a naval officer, and they lived in Virginia and England, and travelled extensively. Judy loved travel, enjoyed politics and current events, music, volunteering, and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Visitations will take place at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home & Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
