Kelli was a loving presence who spoke softly, laughed loudly and loved passionately. Hers was an infectious smile. She is a soul that will be truly missed and while she didn't suffer fools lightly, her heart was big enough to make everyone feel at home; where a plate was always set. Always one to put the coffee on, she hosted you as if you were the only person in the world. A compassionate woman of infinite love and spiritual grace, Kelli was a tenacious fighter, whose love for God never once waived during her protracted battle with cancer. She was resilient to the last, never allowing a slip of frailty but always abounding with love and care for her well-wishers' comforts. A wife, a mother, a sister, a friend, Kelli will be remembered for her love of small graces. Shaved ice in Hawaii, Senators Hockey, being the craftiest girl on the block, soul soothing walks on beaches, and long morning walks with her beloved dogs, each subsequent one named with a D. She loved the water, the sun, and creating a home for everyone who walked in the door.
Her children were her pride and joy, and watching them grow into caring and compassionate adults was one of life's rewards. She beamed when her son, Dillon would enter the room, and gained so much strength from her daughter, Meaghan. As a wife to Paul, she was as much a friend and travel companion, as a heart in which to return time again. Yes it's true, forever isn't long enough. Their love was a thing to behold. As a daughter and sister, she was the very picture of understanding and listening. She will be missed for being a center upon which a family could orbit and rotate. Her love was a sun, and there will not be a day when her family doesn't miss the beams of light that emanated lovingly from her very being. In Proverbs 3:5 it is written: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your Path." Kelli gave her heart to the Lord and He directed her Path. But her family, friends and loved ones could certainly have used a little more time to walk down that path with her, hand in hand.
Kelli is lovingly remembered and survived by her husband, Paul, and children Meaghan and Dillon, her Mother Linda, her Father John and her brother Tim.
The family would also like to extend a loving thanks to our dear friend Betty who provided so much care and respite to Kelli and us in those last days.
