Kenneth Karam

14 February, 196115 July, 2020

Peacefully with his family by his side, Kenney's last breaths were taken with the beauty of nature, the sound of birds singing, and gentle Elvis ballads in the background, enveloped and embraced by his family’s love. So very loved and loving, Kenney, (affectionately, “Captain Silly”, “Fred Flintstone”, “Ammo-Nition” “Kinney”, “Kennebunkport”), was the cherished son of Jamal and the late Nabih Karam, treasured father of Noahh, David, Grace, and James, dearest ‘Baba’ to grandson Mason, loved little brother of Edward, (Colleen), and Ron, (Susan), survived by the mother of his children Amal, adored and silly uncle to nieces and nephews Justine, Jacob, Siobhan, Jesse, Jehan, Jedidiah, Jamal, Caleb, Michael, Tarek, Will, and Jenni. Kenny will always be remembered for his ever-present sense of humour and selfless heart, his unconditional love, his kind, charismatic smile, his endless stream of corny and clever jokes, his incredible resourcefulness, his love of Star Trek, but mostly for his absolute devotion to his children and grandson. The family will receive friends on at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 10 am - 10:30 am, 11 am - 11:30 am and 12 Noon - 12:30 pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please call the funeral home at 613-737-7900 to schedule a time to attend one of these visitation times. The funeral service is private and by invitation only. The last time I saw Kenny was when my brother, Steve and I ran into him at a restaurant at breakfast earlier this year. We chatted briefly and he seemed so happy. I wish that we’d known it would be the last time we’d see our cousin.

On behalf of my father, George Skaff and brother Steve as well as my husband and daughter, David and Sarah, I’d like to express our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

With our love,
Madona, David and Sarah Koren,
and George and Steve Skaff

Dearest Jamal and family

Our heart is aching, and we are shocked by the passing of dear Kenney. We cannot imagine what you are going through, and we cannot find the words to express the sorrow we feel. The love and everlasting memories of Nabih and Ken were evident at the beautiful service and throughout the eulogy by Ron. We send you our prayers and heartfelt condolences as we think of Ken joining Nabih, and Nabih welcoming his “little boy” with his big smile.
May both rest in peace and may your strength, faith and love continue to be an inspiration as you find your way through each day.
We send you all thoughts of love and strength.

Hafeez, and Jamal Nassrallah and family

My deepest condolences to the whole Karam Family. Ken was a fantastic person and someone I was lucky enough to call my friend.

Regardless of what struggles he was encountering he was always positive and full of laughter.

It is clear Ken was surrounded by people who loved him and that is a strong testament to the great Father, Friend, and Fighter he was.

I will miss him very much.
