Laurent Gérard Chrétien

Laurent will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years Louise (Daly), his children Daniel (Johanne Morin), Julie (Daniel Miron) and Marc, as well as his beloved grandchildren Justine, Louis-Antoine and Jasmine Chrétien.

He was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Yvonne (Richer), his brothers Philippe (Pauline Ménard) and Gilles (Suzanne Rivet) and is survived by his two sisters Laurette and Aline Chrétien and many nieces and nephews and friends.

A viewing will be held at Racine, Robert, and Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montréal Road, Ottawa, Friday April 25, 2025 from 4-9 PM. A funeral mass will be Saturday April 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM at St Clement Parish, 528 Old St Patrick Street, Ottawa followed by a reception at Racine, Robert, and Gauthier Funeral Home.

Laurent was an OC Transpo bus driver for 26 years, a landlord for 33 years and an avid traveller wintering in Apache Junction, Arizona for 18 beautiful years. He enjoyed traveling to Alaska and the Maritimes numerous times in his motor home. He was a jack of all trades, definitely a perfectionist in everything he undertook, a financial planner par excellence, and most of all he devoted his entire life to his family. We wish to thank family and friends for their support during Laurent’s illness.
