Leda was just so much fun! We would sit in my ladies wear store in Stirling on a Sunday and write up an upcoming fashion show.
As Leda would describe women's shapes as the apple or pear..,.we would be snorting with laughter. Leda would do the show's commentating. A last look in the mirror as she was ready to walk on the stage in her short dress with her great legs, sporting a little bowler hat,
"svelte, simply svelte". On one of our shopping trips to Kingston, we dropped our boys at the movies and visited our favourite stores, feeling guilty for us being bad!!!. After the Lovedays moved to Ottawa, we continued to meet in Kingston and totally enjoy lunch and visiting our favourite shops. I so miss all the fun and laughter that always followed her.
Goodbye my good friend.

Dear Peter and Alex !
Steve and I will miss our dear friend Leda. We met your family 27 years ago in Belleville and we have been friends ever since. Leda and I used to jokingly call ourselves "mothers of the year '' when we were bumbling through raising our kids. We spent many wonderful times in fellowship with the University Woman's Club in Belleville , doing bridge, gourmet dinners ,shopping and all sorts of fun lunches in Kingston with Anne Brant. We both moved to Ottawa and Leda showed us around.Leda was always my fashion guru-amazing with colours and style. Bright witty and fun- that was our Leda ! I miss you my friend.

I worked with Leda at the City of Ottawa Social Services. She was a ray of sunshine. You knew when she had arrived for her day’s work at the office because she would share who she was. She made me laugh, but, she also made me reflect on life and on human nature. She was kind, generous and wise. I truly enjoyed the time I spent with Leda.
Rest in peace my friend, and may your family be comforted by the peace and love that you shared during your life.

My condolences to the Loveday and extended family.

I came to know Leda as a colleague at the City of Ottawa Human Resources Department and our friendship continued in retirement for a time with other colleagues over dinners and gatherings. Laughter, energy, wonderful stories, creative perspectives on the stuff of life were her charms. She remains vivid in my memory. I wish everyone the best memories of Leda...and she gifted us with many.
