Léon Gagnon

Peacefully surrounded by family on October 25, 2018 at May Court Hospice at the age of 84. Son of the late Arvin Gagnon and the late Liane Bélanger. Beloved husband of Germaine Blanchard, married for 60 years. He leaves in sorrow his loving children George (Rhonda Wise), Denis (Ann Dequae), Norm (Angela) and Michelle (Greg Hawkins). Cherished grandfather of Dominique, Matthew (Melissa), Kassandra (Andrew), Julien (Anna), Alia (Mack), Alexandre, David and Zachary and his great-granddaughter Madison. He also leaves in sorrow his siblings Yvan (Lucille), Martial (Thérèse), Rénald (Gisèle), Gilles (Pauline), Béatrice (Raymond) and Sylvette (Claude), as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. He was also predeceased by his siblings Aurèle (Yolande), Mario, Rose-Anne and Marielle. The family would like to thank the staff from the Ottawa Cancer Onconolgy and palliative General Hospital and the staff and doctors at May Court Hospice for the good care provided. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday November 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marie Church (4831 Innes Road, Ottawa). The family will receive condolences from 9h30 a.m. at church.
