Although I haven’t seen Linda since leaving DOJ over 10 years ago,  I never forgot or will
forget her smile or her laugh. I know it will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

In the short time our paths crossed, Linda’s kindness, sense of humor (and, occasionally, her ugly Christmas sweaters) brightened every day at the court.

I had the pleasure of working with Linda for 22 years.  Linda brought immense joy and laughter to the office and thus to our lives every day.  She was an exceptional assistant, hard-working and resourceful, who went out of her way to ensure that everything ran smoothly.   My clients appreciated her friendly and informative updates and the courts and opposing counsel relied on her clarity and integrity.  Linda famously cheered her colleagues with her jokes and cartoons, her love of Cher and cheesy rock bands and her fondness for surprising Christmas sweaters.   When the work was done we would debate the meaning of trite song lyrics forever.     I am humming those songs as I write this.  My sincere condolences to Jerry, Jessica and family.

Linda was certainly one of a kind. I first met her in 2001 at Justice, and my little 25-year-old self quickly came to rely on her experience, wisdom, and guidance. Years later, we had the chance to be colleagues again at the FCA.
Linda was always there for everyone. You could often hear her laughter echoing through the hallways and anyone who had the privilege of working with her knows just how much she loved to laugh. Her Christmas sweaters always brought smiles and giggles to our mornings.
She was also an incredibly hard worker who gave 100% of herself to everything she did. I have so many wonderful memories of Linda. We laughed, we cried, we talked, and we rushed documents out the door together. Through it all, she was simply Linda, kind, generous, funny, dependable, and unforgettable.
She will always hold a very special place in my heart. I only wish she had been given more time to enjoy the fruits of all her years of hard work with Jerry. She certainly deserved that time.
Rest in peace, Linda. You will be deeply missed and so fondly remembered. ❤️

So sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart. Linda was a beautiful person and a friendly colleague.  I am now retired from the Federal court of Appeal but Linda was one of those I missed a lot when I left the Court. Rest in Peace.

The graduation picture brought back so many memories I have with and of Linda. We were neighbors in Beacon Hill South for a long time and we were friends as kids and through high school. Linda loaned me a high neck blouse for my grad pics and her and I attended our first concert together. So many memories .She will be so missed by family, friends an colleagues.  Rest in Peace my friend.

A very sad loss for all who knew Linda. 😞 Standing in our driveways will never be the same. Keep her smile and laugh in your heart.

I am so sad to hear of Linda's passing. I really enjoyed getting to know her over the years. Linda was a good colleague and an all-round great person. A kind, thoughtful, humble and nice person with a great sense of humour. Time and again, she would go out of her way to help out and/or make you smile. Often both. Wishing her friends and family all the best at a tough time. She leaves us all too soon.

Linda was such a kind and wonderful person, and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work so closely with her at the Federal Court of Appeal. She had a wonderful sense of humour and was always willing to lend a hand whenever someone needed help. I will especially remember her generosity and thoughtfulness - those delicious Christmas cookies she baked for everyone were such a special treat and a reflection of the warmth she brought to those around her.  Linda will be deeply missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing and working with her. My heartfelt condolences to her loved ones during this very difficult time.

Linda was a wonderful, dedicated and talented assistant at the Federal Court of Appeal.  A real hard worker. Equally important, she was a kind, generous and humorous person who kept everyone’s morale high, patient and caring even in the face of adversity, She was a wonderful public servant and a friend to many.  We all miss her so much.

Linda was my favourite Neighbour 🥰 Always loved when we arrived at the same time in our driveways! Always a good hug 🤗 and a chat! Her cuteness was infectious and that smile was so precious! I miss her everyday and now she is at peace and with her Mom and Dad in Heaven 🙏🏽The sky will be brighter because of her and her smile 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Jerry and family so so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing.   She was the best work colleague  possible - and by far the very best legal assistant I ever worked with: knowledgeable, accurate, totally dependable, energetic, and above all such fun to be around… I recall so many belly laughs at her desk or mine or in the hallways, which made the days go by faster and the stresses of work dissolve.  She also mentored many junior assistants and was a true leader in the office, always helping others, working late or arriving early to deal with the inevitable deadlines.  And such a soldier when I saw her in a visit to Montfort after the stroke.  We are in BC but will think of you, Jess and Linda on the 20th.
