Linda, born in Moncton, N.B., grew up in Lachute, Quebec then moved to a small mining town in northern Quebec (Schefferville). Finishing high school, she left to attend St. Francis Xavier University. After two years of study, she returned to Antigonish, N.S. to work for the university. She later moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she met George. After travelling in Europe, they resided in Toronto where Christina and Jennifer were born.
While living in Toronto, she worked with an urban planning firm until she retired in 2014. During that time she attained a degree of Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 1998. She moved to Ottawa after retiring to be closer to her daughters and granddaughters. She then volunteered at the CNIB and the Ottawa Humane Society until her diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma.
Linda was always interested in the study of astrology, yoga, meditation and the like. She also enjoyed drawing and took a number of classes. But, nothing compared with the joy of being a mother and grandmother.
