Lois Rochon passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026 at the age of 57. Devoted mother of Mitchell (Lexi) and Samantha Storey (Spencer). Beloved sister of Margie Kerr (Dwayne) and John Summers (Bettina). Cherished aunt of Teagan and Shaelen Summers. Remembered by Marie and Melissa Bergeron. Predeceased by her parents John Francis Kenny and Mary Ann Elizabeth (Houlahan) Summers. Samantha and Mitchell wish to thank Kim Backus, NP; nurses Natasha and Rene; aide Juju; and the rest of the staff at the Lutheran Home for taking such good care of their mom.
Visitations will be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St Augustine Parish, 1060 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with inurnment to follow at Our Lady of the Visitation Cemetery, 5338 Bank Street, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
