Rest In Peace Lorraine.  Your commitment to your students and vocation was admirable and an example for many. 


My heartfelt sympathies. Over the years I played with and against Lorraine in a few sports and saw her many times in arenas as she loved to play and watch.  She was a good athlete, very dependable teammate, and kind and friendly to everyone.......loved to chat.  She will be missed.  RIP.

I was very saddened to hear of Lorraine's passing. I first met Lorraine in my teens through softball. She was a pitcher for a team from Navan and we always dreaded playing against her.  She was once featured in the Chatelaine magazine back in the early 1980's as one of the best pitchers in the Ottawa area.  I then reconnected with Lorraine many years later through hockey. She was always keen and eager to play and  when she wasn't playing you could find her in the stands cheering for the many friends she made throughout the years.  She was a kind and personable soul who always took an interest in whoever she came across.  Lorraine will be missed by her many hockey acquaintances and friends and once hockey returns I'm sure she will be watching the game from above  R.I.P. Lorraine.

I taught with Lorraine at Holy Rosary School.  We taught in a large classroom called a pod.    At one end of the classroom Lorraine taught Grade 5 and at the other end I taught Grade 6.  We got along famously.  We both had respect  for each other.  We both loved sports and Lorraine told me about her ball and hockey experiences.  Teaching two different grades in one room without barriers was challenging but Lorraine and I made it  work with no difficulty.  Lorraine was a great partner.  I will always remember her.  Your work is done Lorraine.  Rest peacefully.

I met Lorraine at an arena thru our shared love of hockey. I used to attend all my daughter's and eventually her wife's games. Lots of the players called me "Ma!".  Lorraine and I used to laugh that she called herself my oldest daughter, even though that meant she would have arrived ten years before I was born!!! We shared a lot times sitting in the stands watching games. Lorraine was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and loved a great game as much as I did. She also loved her corny jokes!! I'm thinking that the Leafs are going to have someone cheering loudly for them in arenas where they play! They couldn't have a better fan! Goodbye and thanks for your company Lorraine!!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Lorraine for many years. She taught my 3 boys and from there we developed a friendship. I will always remember her beautiful smile and her numerous stories and jokes . She will forever leave a “smile” in my heart!! RIP

I have many happy memories of Lorraine since the  early 80’s. She had a great sense of humour and would tell us all tales of the many sports she played. I also, had the privilege of teaching with her for a few years. She was well liked by her students and respected by her colleagues!
