Lucia De Fatima De Castro

It is with deep sorrow, that we announce the passing of Mrs. Lucia De Fatima Da Silva Aguiar De Castro, on Monday, December 24, 2024, at the age of 87. She was the daughter of the late Francisco Borges De Aguiar and the late Senhorinha Da Silva De Aguiar. Loving wife to the late Amancio Rodrigues De Castro. She was predeceased by her siblings; Francisco, Nivia and Jose.

She leaves behind her children; Tomas De Castro (Denise), Anabela De Castro (Tony), Emanuel De Castro, Susana De Castro Shouldice (James), her grandchildren; Mélissa, Alex, Carolynne, Alexandre (Karine), William, Alexander (Laura), her great grandchildren; Logan and Luka, she also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and the nursing staff at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus.

On Friday, January 10, 2025, the family will be receiving condolences, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again in the evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Racine, Robert and Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa. In the morning of Saturday, January 11, 2025, condolences from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 320 Olmstead Avenue, Ottawa.
