Marie was much loved and will be dearly remembered by her family, Peggy Collier, Cathy (Rick Walker), Ellie (Bill Faubert), Steve Collier, Kathryn (Stephen Ferguson), Laura, Marc and Juliana.
Marie is widowed by Tony Strobl and Tibor Alexander and predeceased by her brother, Alex von Ploennies.
Marie was born in Montreal, QC and spent most of her childhood in Gravenhurst, ON, then later moved to Toronto, ON to work for the NCR.
Following her time in Toronto, she moved to South Western Ontario where she settled in London working as, among other things, the business manager at Mary Killoran Ladies Wear and then she enjoyed her time as a real estate agent, first with Canada Trust and then Remax Forest City.
Marie moved to Ottawa, in 2017. Special thanks to the staff of the Waterford Retirement Home and particularly the staff of the Windsong Memory Care unit for their love and kindness as they cared for her within the community.
