Unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the age of 64 years. Beloved wife of Colin. Loving mother of James (Kathleen Hurley), Christopher and Andrew (Kelsi Dickinson).Cherished grandmother of Cole. Dear sister of Paul Herman (Laura) and Mike Herman (Debbie). Predeceased by her parents Rex and Rita Herman. Marlene is survived by her aunts Ruth Rafuse and Maria Thibault as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Saturday, June 10, 2017 after 1 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 3 pm in the Chapel. In memoriam donations to the Parkinson`s Society of Ottawa Carleton or the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated.
