Unexpectedly, but peacefully at home, on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the age of 74. Beloved husband and best friend of Muriel (Swan). Loving father of Gary, Paul (Joan-Marie Pottinger) and Wendy (Bruce MacFarlane). Cherished grandfather to Casie, Allie, Michaela and Adrianna McGee, Sasha Pottinger and Special Fishing Buddy Jack MacFarlane. He will be sadly missed by his sister Muriel (Carman Colden) of Marmora, as well as many other family members.
He was a special friend to and will be fondly remembered by all his employees, past and present. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Nina (Wilman), brothers Bob, Grant and sister Shirley. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service on Wednesday in the Chapel at 11 am.
