To the Robillard Family, I was very sad to hear of Noella & Rollande passing. I think of the visits I have had with the Robillards, over the years, the very first back in 1974. Helene and I were good friends. I knew Nathalie when she was a little girl, when I came to visit Helene in 1986. The Robillards have been kind & good to me and I will always remember them fondly. I share in your loss as if Noella, John & Rollande were my family, as I did Helene & Nathalie. I have been very fortunate to have shared time with these wonderful people. My prays go out to you.

I had no idea that you were going through all of that back than!! What I remember the most about you was.. To my little cousin, Nat (the Cat). A year has now passed, and your memory still resonates with a certain sadness. I often remember the childhood with spent together, those days and nights spent at our grandparents' cottage, and your visits to our house every Christmas. My fondness memories are of Christmas '80 at our Grandparents. You were dressed in red velour gown, and you were such a beautiful remarkable child. I'll always remember you as that beautiful innocent child, who sadly was deprived of so much in life, but yet persevered valiantly. My greatest regret is that I wasn't there for you during your last years. To my little Nat the Cat. I love you and miss you always. How I pray you've found peace. And somehow I believe you have.

To the Robillard Family my deepest sympathies.

I've known Helene since 1969 and we became good friends. I came to know the Robillard family as good, decent and caring people. My wife and I visited Nikki about 4 years ago. Nikki let me know that Helene had passed a few years earlier. I was very sad to have lost such a good friend as Helene.

I came to visit Helene during the Christmas holidays in 1986. That was the first time I met Nathalie. She was only 9 years old. Helene had to work during part of the time I was there so Natalie and I got the chance to spend time together. I took her to the Science Museum and we had a nice lunch together.

Nathalie was such a sweet child. I am fortunate to have known her, her mother Helene and all the Robillard family. I share in your sadness and feel a deep sense of loss at the passing of both Nathalie and Helene.

They will always be with me.

Nathalie, My thoughts have been with you and for a reason. I came back from work out of town and heard that you had gone to heaven. I will always remember you for your strength--your insistence on looking your best--hair, manicures (smile Nat-) ). I remember you everytime I go by the gardens on Richmond road where you delighted in our visits and the beauty of the flowers and the ice cream treats, our rides there and back to the hospital with para-transpo. Thanks for allowing me to share a small part of your experience. I am so happy you are an now an angel without pain. My dear Nathalie, you are no longer lonely and in pain. You are singing praises and rejoicing. Thank you Jude for inviting me to share these precious times with Nathalie.

Dear Nikki, Gilles and Robillard family,
There are no words to express the devastation I feel, as you do, at the passing of Nathalie.  As her step-mother she and I shared so much with her dad and my family as well.  She was a ray of sunshine in my life like no other.  Nathalie will be forever missed by her Pelletier family and her sisters Chantal and Faith.  Please know that we share your tears and heartbreak as we all try to find comfort in knowing that she is now free from the illness that took her from us all.

As her step-aunt, I was shocked to learn that Nat has passed away.  Nat was a regular member of my family, from when she was a little girl, until I lost touch with her about 10 years ago. My children played with her, as a child and we are deeply saddened to learn how her life came to such an abrupt end.  Nat was beautiful, vibrant, intelligent girl and I grieve with you Gilles and all who had the priviledge to know Nat.

That is the first memory I have of you. In your own writing, it was written on your door many years ago and my first impression before even meeting you was that you were going to be special. As I got to know you, I found out the nickname suited you because like a cat, you were feisty, stubborn and wild, but  also warm, caring and a loyal loving friend to many. You were also a fighter who defied all odds as you fought for your life and your independence. You were so strong-willed and I will always remember that most about you. 

A crippling disease made you a prisoner in your own body and mind, but hopefully now your spirit is finally free. You touched the lives of many who worked with you and I will always remember you as a beautiful young woman who even though her future looked grim, she never gave up on life. Your beautiful smile and excited squeal of laughter will be sorely missed but will live on in our hearts and our memories.
Gone too soon, I will think of you often and hope you are happy wherever you are.
