It is with desolate hearts that the family announces the passing of Philip Francis O'Neill at the age of 63 on October 15, 2017. Originally from Saint John New Brunswick, Philip graduated from St Francis Xavier University and went on to complete a PhD in mathematics at the University of Waterloo. He pursued a career as an analyst with the Department of National Defence and transitioned to the private sector with Quantitative Decision Support and Deep Logic Solutions. He always found time to enjoy his love of classical music, which he shared with his family. From playing the piano, to sharing a passion for CDs, music videos, and Christmas music, Philip was a fun and vibrant musical expert. Most importantly, he was a supportive and proud father, and loving husband. Survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Jane (Yunker), daughter Erin Mary and extended family. Please come and celebrate his life with a gathering, Wednesday October 18th 5:00-8:00 pm, at the family home. Donations to CHEO or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home.
