It was a great pleasure to work with this wonderful man during his journey with Alzheimer's. His strength and determination were characteristics that clearly remained with him, as well as his caring and loving family. I am sad to hear of this news and wish the family peace in the memories they all shared. My heart goes out to you.

We were so sorry to learn of Pierre's passing. Pierre will always remain in our fond memories: his quirky smile, his dry humour and his love of Canada's north. We met Pierre through Gwen when she and Ann taught at Chimo Elementary School and became good friends. That was back in 1998. Pierre enjoyed relating stories of his trips with the school to the the NWT. We had lived in the Yukon for a time; so the sharing of stories was the start to our long friendship. Pierre was so happy when Marie married Craig and even more so when grandsons appeared on the scene. His love for the kids was so evident.

Am saddened to hear of Pierre's passing.  It was a privilege to have worked with Pierre for a number of years at Pius. He was an outstanding teacher and mentor to his students. Many owe their success to Pierre and the determination and inspiration he instilled to make certain they graduated with their high school diplomas. I recall former students returning to Pius to visit Pierre after they had graduated. Both his students and colleagues thoroughly enjoyed Pierre's hilarious stories and jokes. I recall burning piles of brush at your place one Saturday years ago with Chuck Daly and being called a serial arsonist by Pierre because he believed the fire and smoke could be seen from Kemptville to Pius.

Bill and I send our deepest sympathy and prayers, Gwen and Marie. Pierre was a wonderful colleague and friend when we taught at St. Paul H. S. and was a great support on the Adirondack trips we ran for the students. He  touched the lives of so many students and teachers and his gentle ways and engaging smile will be missed.

It was such a privilege to work at St. Pius along with Pierre. Always a smile and more often a good, strong belly-laugh. He told the craziest stories and  often used them to distract students and colleagues from their troubles. (One of my favourites was the one about raising chickens in the basement.) Many students owe their high school diplomas to this dedicated teacher, counsellor and friend. May you rest in peace "Dr. Credit".

To my friend Pierre…..I miss my « challenge coach » at the arena.  You had that special touch to motivate me and I always felt ready for the Olympiques after one of your workouts!!  Your easy going and friendly manner was contagious and all of us enjoyed your company.  I have never met a more humble man. Wait for me and we will show those amateurs in heaven what two former LaSalle Academy kids can do on the ice.  Love you Pierre.

We are saddened by the loss of our friend Pierre.  We met Pierre while ice skating in Kemptville as retirees.   As we grew to know each more, we started a tradition of going to McDonald's or Tim Horton's for coffee after skating.  Seeing that Pierre and I were able to resolve most of the world's problems, we were joined by other skaters at what became a larger group which eventually settled into the KV mall "Timmy's" through the year.   He will be missed and certainly not forgotten.  He will be in our prayers.
