He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor; his son, Andrew; his brother, Donald (Fay); and his sisters, Alice (George) and Irene (Stanley). He is survived by his daughter, Cathy; his dear friend, Veda; and his nephews, nieces and extended family in England and Germany.
Ralph was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend.
Born in Bristol, England, his family came to Canada in 1939-1940, when the Royal Air Force sent his father, Sam, to open training stations here. Ralph served in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) from 1944-1946, and later with the RCAF Reserve from 1955-1958.
Ralph became a Canadian citizen in 1956.
He studied engineering and business at the University of Toronto, and enjoyed a long and successful career as a Professional Engineer with Honeywell in Toronto. He was so proud of his Iron Ring.
Ralph had a beautiful smile and loved to share a story and a laugh. He was a choirboy in England, sang in a Toronto church choir for decades, and serenaded audiences as part of a barbershop quartet during his golden years. He loved to travel and was especially fond of his Boston Terriers. He also enjoyed dancing and a good game of bridge or cribbage.
Well done, Ralph! You will be sadly missed.
