Raymond Malette

Il laisse dans le deuil sa charmante épouse depuis 60 ans, Rita née Gagné, ses filles, Louise et Andrée-Anne, son gendre André Pilon et ses petits-enfants Megan (Dave) et Jacob.

Cher frère de Gaston, Solange et Rachel, beau-frère de Lucien, Jean-Marc, Solange, Liliane, Nicole, Jaqueline, Laurette, Fernande, Anne, ainsi que plusieurs nièces, neveux et cousins/cousines.

Raymond fut prédécédé par ses parents Roméo et Bernadette Malette (née Cloutier), ses frères Rénald, Réal, René, Réjean et sa sœur Réjane. Il est également précédé par ses beaux-frères et belles sœurs : Gaston, André, Yvon, Élise et Marie Gagné ainsi que Gaston Guillemette.

Raymond était un mari aimant, patient et loyal, un père dévoué, un grand-papa exceptionnel qui offrait de nombreuses paroles de conseils, de sagesse et d’encouragement. Il était extrêmement généreux et priorisait toujours les besoins des autres avant les siens. C'était un homme de peu de mots mais de talents abondants et souhaitait toujours la paix entre ses proches.

Il était un très fier membre cofondateur de Malette Lumber Inc., où il était responsable pour de diverses tâches à Timmins, Hearst, Smooth Rock Falls et New Liskeard.

La famille recevra famille et amis à la Maison Funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier au 180 Chemin Montreal, Ottawa, ON K1L 1B4, le vendredi 8 novembre 2024 de 11h à 12h45, suivi d'une messe en la chapelle à 13h, et d’une réception au salon entre 14h et 16h.

Un merci spécial a l’équipe attentive, affectueuse et dévoué du Manoir Rockland où il demeurait et au personnel de l’aile de chirurgie et l’équipe palliatif de l'Hôpital général de Hawkesbury et district pour leurs dévouements, respect et soins.

Au lieu de fleurs, la famille aimerait vous demander de planter un arbre en l’honneur de Raymond en hommage de son histoire familiale.

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the death of Mr. Raymond Malette at the Hawkesbury & District General Hospital on October 25, 2024, at the age of 91.

He leaves to mourn his lovely wife of 60 years, Rita née Gagné, his daughters, Louise and Andrée-Anne, his son-in-law André Pilon, and his grandchildren Megan (Dave) and Jacob.

Dear brother of Gaston, Solange and Rachel, brother-in-law to Lucien, Jean-Marc, Solange, Liliane, Nicole, Jaqueline, Laurette, Fernande, Anne, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents Roméo and Bernadette Malette (née Cloutier), his brothers Rénald, Réal, René, Réjean and his sister Réjane. He is also predeceased by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gaston, André, Yvon, Élise and Marie Gagné as well as Gaston Guillemette.

Raymond was a loving, patient and loyal husband, a devoted father, an exceptional grandfather who offered many words of advice, wisdom, and encouragement. He was extremely generous and always prioritized the needs of others before his own. He was a man of a few words with abundant talents, and always wanted peace between those close to him.

He was a very proud co-founding member of Malette Lumber Inc., where he was responsible for many tasks in Timmins, Hearst, Smooth Rock Falls and New Liskeard.

The family will receive family and friends at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home at 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, ON K1L 1B4, on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., followed by a mass in the chapel at 1 p.m. and a reception between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
