

Raymond (Ray) Ouellette of Ottawa, ON will be fondly remembered by his brother Michael Ouellette (Dawn née Atwood) of Chesterville, ON. He was preceded in death by parents Samuel Ouellette and Jeannine Lalonde-Charron (née Lalonde). He leaves behind uncles and aunts Ronald Ouellette (Theresa Sutton), Guy Ouellette (Odette Lavoie), Raoul Ouellette (Jackie Thériault), Murielle Lapierre (née Lalonde, Yvon Lapierre), Pauline Chantigny (née Lalonde, René Chantigny), and Cécile Sabourin (née Lalonde, Gérald Sabourin) and their families; foster-sister Ghislaine Gunville (Marc Latray) and their children Jesse and Émilie; step-mother Helene Avon; and step-siblings Louis (Lisa née Ballard) Bissonnette, Robert Bissonnette, and Carol Bissonnette. He survived his step-sister Francine Laurin (Joseph Lacasse, Jr.) in 2022.
Ray was born in Summerside, PEI and was raised in Ottersdorf Germany and later in Aylmer (Gatineau), QC.
Ray will be remembered as a big man with a big heart and a gentle disposition. He loved animals, and he actively participated with local cat rescue groups.
Family and friends will celebrate Ray’s life at the Hope Cemetery Chapel at 4660 Bank St, Ottawa (Gloucester), ON on Friday, November 28 at 1 pm. Reception to follow.
