Beloved husband of Muriel (Higgins) for 70 years. Loving father to Brenda (Patrick Flannery) and Christine. Proud Poppa to Matthew and Sean.
Ray is predeceased by his infant daughter Sandra Anne, his sister Marjorie (Owen) and his twin brother Ralph (Pierrette). He will be fondly remembered by his nephews, Michael (Colleen), Rick (Sherri) and Steven (Micheline).
Dear brother in law to Shirley (Tony), the late Ken (Heather), Bob (Jill) and the late Katie (the late Daly). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Originally from Montreal Ray worked at Pratt and Whitney for 37 years. Upon retirement he relocated to Ottawa where he enjoyed his new home and many years of volunteer work and travelling.

Family and friends may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10 am to 11 am, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11 am. Reception to follow.
