Richard Sabourin

C’est avec grand regret que nous annonçons le décès de Monsieur Richard Sabourin. Il nous a quitté paisiblement le 22 décembre 2025 à l’âge de 72ans. Originaire de Lemieux en Ontario, il était le fils de feu Hubert Sabourin et de feu Rollande Langevin. Il était l’époux bien aimé de Louise Laporte et le père bien veillant de France (Marc) et d’Annie (Sébastien).

Outre son épouse et ses enfants, il laisse dans le deuil ses petits-enfants Sébastien, Claudia, Danick, sa petite cousine Melissa et sa fille Bibi, qu’il considérait comme sa petite-fille. Il quitte également ses frères François (Réjeanne), Yves (Micheline), Alain (Christine), sa sœur Liette (Sylvain), ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis.

Richard fut prédécédé par son frère Robert.

La famille désire remercier le docteur André Gauthier, son épouse Lorraine ainsi que l’équipe de l’Hôpital Civic pour leurs bons soins prodigués.

Une messe commémorative aura lieu vendredi le 23 janvier 2026 à 10h30 en l’Église Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes (435 chemin Montréal, Ottawa, Ontario). La famille recevra les condoléances à l’église à compter de 10h00.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mister Richard Sabourin. He left this world peacefully on December 22, 2025, at the age of 72. Born in Lemieux, Ontario, he was the son of the late Hubert Sabourin and of the late Rollande Langevin. He was the loving spouse of Louise Laporte and the caring father of France (Marc) and Annie (Sébastien).

Besides his wife and children, he leaves behind in mourning his grandchildren Sébastien, Claudia and Danick, his little cousin Melissa and her daughter Bibi whom he considered a granddaughter. He also leaves his brothers François (Réjeanne), Yves (Micheline), Alain (Christine), his sister Liette (Sylvain) as well as many nephews, nieces and friends.

Richard was predeceased by his brother Robert.

The family wishes to thank Doctor André Gauthier, his wife Lorraine as well as the Civic Hospital’s team, for the excellent care and professionalism they provided during these trying times.

A memorial service will be held on Friday January 23, 2026, at 10:30 am within Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church (435 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario). The family will receive condolences as of 10:00am.
