Passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of 49 years to Fleurette Poirier (née Forget). Loving father to Nathalie and Jean Luc as well as grandfather to Jessen. Predeceased by his father Jean, mother Lucille and sister Diane. Survived by his stepmom Lucette, brother Robert (Jo- Ann), Michel (Pierrette) and sister Rachelle (Ken Howard), as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.Serge was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and a 4th Degree Knight. The family would like to offer a big thank you to the staff at Laurier Manor for the special care they provided. Family will receive condolences on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Racine, Robert and Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. In memoriam, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
