Sunil is a very close friend of mine for many many years since at the beginning of his training  in Radiology dept. Then and there we were enjoying our friendship many many years in Colombo , Oman and the UK.He is so generous, kind hearted true gentleman through out his Radiography carrier.it’s really great loss for the Radiology service for ever since his departure .
My deepest condolence to you and your family especially dear pathma and two lovely kids.we missed you for ever Sunil.

Sunil uncle is a lovely father, son, and a husband. He’s been there for this family through thick and thin and he has raised two lovely sons of whom we know Sunil uncle was very proud. 

We are relieved to know that he spent his last few years with his children and his loving wife, Pathma punchi. 

It isn’t the number of years one has spent on this earth that counts but how he/she has spent his years and the services offered by one and the quality of the relationships they’ve built. In that sense, Sunil uncle lived a very long and a meaningful life. 

Our prayers are with his family during this time.

While the family, friends & colleagues are mourning the loss of Mr. Sunil Balasooriya, I would like to add a few words of appreciation on behalf of 95 batch as a mark of our respect.
Although it looks untimely, it is fair to say that Mr. Balasooriya’s time in this birth has been well spent in uplifting the standards of Radiography and the dignity of our precession in Sri Lanka.
He was a great mentor to the younger generation of Radiographers . As it is often said, actions speak louder than words and Mr. Balasooriya knew how to do that very  well.
We are very grateful to him for organising very many continuing educational events with the support of other very active members of our relatively smaller Radiography community in Sri Lanka.
Even after leaving the country, his willingness to help the profession back home and its members will be remembered & much appreciated for many many years to come.
May all our merits be with you to attain the supreme bliss of Nirvana
