Therese Ryan

Therese Ryan, "Mommy", passed away at 56 years of age on April 27th, 2011 in her hometown Ottawa, Ontario after a courageous battle with heart disease. Her life began on January 4th, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Marie and the late Hector Vanasse. She attended French immersion Roman Catholic schools for most of her upbringing and became a very independent woman, teaching herself many things including the English language. She became a wonderful mother at a young age and was dedicated to raising and caring for her children . Life gave her many challenges and she always overcame them with a smile. Friends and family fondly remark that, Integrity and honesty, compassion, generosity, hugs and smiles are Therese's most notable traits. Her life was spent giving and caring for others, always putting their needs before her own. We were robbed of a perfect mother, a warm smile and a love only she could bless you with. She will be missed by many. Therese is survived by her children, son, Jesse Vanasse; daughters, Phyllis Ryan and Bianca Vanasse; and dear family and friends too numerous to mention.
