Waldemar Dmochowski

Peacefully, with family at his side, on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the age of 63, after a truly courageous fight with cancer. Beloved husband of Krystyna, exceptional father of Pawel (Nicole Cottrell), Jacek (Shelley Edwards) and Grzegorz. Adoring and devoted Dziadek to Maya and Emilia. Wonderful younger brother of Bogdan (Jadwiga). He will be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Helena, brother-in-law Janusz (Ania) and extended family, many friends and colleagues in Canada, Poland and abroad. Waldek will be always remembered for his deep commitment to family, his charming nature, warm smile and sense of humour. The family would like to extend many thanks to the medical staff at the General Hospital Oncology 5East and at the Elizabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Facilities for their compassionate care. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to close friends who have helped us through this difficult time. Friends may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), on Tuesday, November 30 from 6-9 pm with prayers beginning at 8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Hyacinth Parish, 201 LeBreton St. North, Ottawa on Wednesday, December 1 at 10 am, followed by burial at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank Street, Ottawa.
