Entered eternal rest on Christmas Day December 25, 2012. Predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Najebeh and his beloved daughter Najah (Melhem). Youssef was a dedicated father to Zahara (Issa), Elias (Jaouhara), Jeannette (late Sami), Najwa (Steve), Mikhael (Marie), Ibrahim (Wadad), Orfali (Malek), Sabah (Michel), Nicolas (Antoinette), George (Marcia), Tony (Ida) and Camille (Helena). Also survived by his siblings Marsha, Hanneh and George. He leaves behind 43 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren that will all dearly miss their Jido. Friends and family may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Rd. (at Albion Road) on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be held in St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive at 1:00 PM on Friday, Dec 28, 2012 . Interment at Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Elias Cathedral or the Auxilia Foundation.
