

She is preceded into the arms of Jesus by her father Jessie Dewitt Baker, mother Virtie V. Baker, brother Jess Baker and sister Bernice Clark. She temporarily leaves behind her husband Claud Splawn of fifty nine years, her daughters, Sheri Still and Linda Morgan. Betty's much adored granddaughters Sarah Hoffman and Lindsey Carpenter and her great grandson Trevor Carpenter.
Also many adored extended family and friends. We love and miss her so very much and will continue to honor and celebrate her life. She will be forever in our hearts.
Betty was born in Heavener, Oklahoma on October 18, 1933. She moved with her family to Port Hueneme in 1938 where she attended Hueneme Grammar school and then attended Oxnard High School and graduated in 1951, but attended Heavener High for her sophomore year in 1949. She was employed by General Telephone Company for 10 years.
She met and married Claud in 1952 and enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage with him in Oxnard.
Family and friends can attend a memorial service on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Grace Bible Church, 936 W. 5th Street, Oxnard, CA 93030, with a celebration of life immediately after in the fellowship hall from 2-4 p.m.
Burial will be held at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, CA 93012 on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude.
