Luis Duarte Rivera

On Sept. 24, 2014 The Lord called Luis Rivera up to heaven. At the age of 91, born in Colorado May 21, 1924, raised in Moorpark. Served in U.S. Army Air Forces in Alaska as a Firefighter. Lived in Oxnard. Retired from the CBC Naval Base in Port Henememe after 35 yrs.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sally Rivera, parents Guadalupe & Dolores (Mama Lola) Rivera, brothers Amador, Alfonso, Chavie, Pete (Picalo) and sisters Angie & Vera.

Survived by his sisters Lupe Rivera & Eloise Romo, Sons Louie, wife Vickie, Jim wife Renee, 5 grandchildren Tony, Raylene, Jessica, Jaime, Jackie and 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & Nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel at Funeraria Del Angel Conrad Carroll Mortuary, 401 W. Channel Isl. Blvd., Oxnard, CA., (805)487-4911, on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. With recitation of the Holy Rosary commencing at 7:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 at 10:00a.m. At St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Oxnard. Burial concluding with Military Honors will follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Oxnard.
