Mary Sue Myatt passed away on September 5, 2019 at her daughters home at the age of 86 of a long term illness. Mary was born on Oct. 3, 1932 in Detroit, MI. She was the youngest of five siblings born to Roi and Nina Bennett.
Mary moved to California when she was 19 with her best friend Sally. Within a few years she met Charles Myatt, whom she married and they too had five children. They were married over 60 years until he passed away in April of 2011. Their oldest daughter Denise passed away the same year, within 4 months of each other at the age of 54.
Along with raising five children, Mary worked for the Ventura County Sherriff’s Department as a Records Supervisor in a job she loved before retiring after 30 years of service. Mary was hardworking and dedicated to her job. She led by example.
Mary was well known for her colorful personality, great sense of humor, kindness and generosity. She Believed the key to happiness was acceptance above all else.
Mary’s favorite interests were spending quality time with her family, bowling, gambling, walking her dogs, cooking and scrapbooking.
Mary’s surviving family members include three sons, Daryl, Michael and Stephen and youngest daughter Jacque. She also had seven Grandchildren Bradley, Suzannah, Edward , David, Christopher, Tia Marie and Torrie
Mary made such an impact on the many lives she touched. To know her was to love her. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
