Delois Ann Burgess-Spears

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Blue Springs Word of Truth Church in Blue Springs, Alabama with Rev. Tim Burgess and Rev. Joe Spears officiating with Fuqua–Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at the Church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Burgess-Spears was born July 31, 1943 in Dale County. She retired from Flowers Hospital in Dothan. after fifteen years of service. She was a member of Ozark Praise & Worship for eight years.

Mrs. Burgess-Spears was preceded in death by her parents Thomas D. Burgess and Thelda M. Burgess; a sister, Kay Rhodes; and a brother, Dan Burgess.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Spears of Skipperville; her daughters Joyce Cousins (Mike) of Eclectic, Tracy Mims (Terrell) of Millbrook, Michelle Woods (George) of Nashville, TN; her sons, Johnny Spears Jr. of Montgomery, and Joe Spears (Deanna) of Skipperville; her sisters Dorothy Shehane (Billy) of Ozark and Linda Campbell (Billy) of Clio; and her brother Tim Burgess (Melissa) of Ozark; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of special nieces and nephews.
