Francis Hale Richards Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 8, 2013, from Daleville Baptist Church, with Reverend Doctor James Kilpatrick, Reverend Jud Waldrop, and Reverend Song Lim officiating. Visitation will be held for an hour prior to service time.

Mr. Richards was born on March 4, 1950 to the late Francis Hale and Lorraine Bartels Richards, Sr. in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was retired from the U.S. Army, and was employed with Army Fleet Support in Ft. Rucker. Francis was also an active member of Daleville Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Richards was preceded in death by a brother, Newell Makahanaloa.

He is survived by his wife, PoSuk Richards of Ozark; his son, Nathan Richards of Ozark; sisters: Twiladon U. Torres, and her husband Richard of Aiea, Hawaii; Harkangel Richards, and her husband Lyle Mattson of Honolulu, Hawaii; Candy Macalino, and her husband Ben of Mililani, Hawaii; brothers: Dana Richards, and his wife Martha of Honolulu, Hawaii; Dexter Richards of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law, Flame Makahanaloa of Molokai, Hawaii; granddaughter, Netanya Leilani Richards of Rock Hill, South Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alabama Baptist Children’s Home (alabamachild.org).
