

Mable Marie Tarter Mayfield, 79, passed peacefully to be with Lord as she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and God's great love on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. She was a resident of Indianapolis.
She was born March 12, 1933 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Hiram and Hazel (Broxon) Tarter.
Mable worked as a leasing manager for Sexton Company and at Riley Towers.
Her greatest accomplishment was raising her eight children that survive: Henry C. (Loretta) Hagedorn V, Dori (Darrell) Sparks-Unsworth, Debra Dehn, Dianne (Charles) Scott, Richard A. (Jennifer) Hagedorn, Neva E. Hagedorn, Fred (Tracy) Hagedorn and Amelia (Rick Boldin) Hagedorn. She is also survived by her brother, Walter (Janice) Tarter; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 nephews. Mable was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann and Eva Tarter.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Westview Memorial Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00pm until 1:45pm on Tuesday prior to the service.
