Bob was born Nov. 30, 1935 in Manchester N.H. He served in the U.S. Army from July 54-Oct 72 and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked at DynCorp as an aviation mechanic supervisor until 1993.
Although Bob didn't have any biological children, that made him no less of a father to the children he inherited through marriage. Bobby, as the grandkids knew him, will be remembered for his quick jokes, generous heart and his riddles and random facts. When the kids came over, Bob was notorious for demanding a "quatah" as a fee for their visit. He never kept it. He always had a "question of the day" to be answered when you walked in the door. I can hear him demanding to know "what is the only country surrounded on all sides by other countries." That was our Bob, generous and kind, under the tough "yankee" exterior, full of riddles and useless information. "The yolk of the egg is white, or the yolk of the egg are white". Bob was loved dearly by the wife, kids of his heart and grandkids he left behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rose Pletrantoni and Robert L. Harris.
Bob is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sandra Harris; seven daughters, Lori Barker (Vic Martin), Joanna Harrison (Dewayne), Mandy Edginton (Barry Tuttle), Kassie Adams, Valerie Malin, T.C. Batchelor (Blake), Sammie Malin (Robert Sprague); seventeen grandkids, Tommy, Stacie, Katie, Ashleigh, Alecia, Justin, Maegan, Tyeler, Brali, Emma, Colton, Matthew, Ryanna, Lexi, Kala, Robbie, and Lyna; also surviving are six great-grand kids.
Special Thanks to Alacare Hospice, Theresa Carr (RN), Phillip Durr (Chaplain), DAV, Matthew Malin, Robert Sprague, Willis Faulkner and Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home.
