Mr. William "Bill" Lawrence Carr Sr.

Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m., Monday, November 29, 2010 from Logan Road Baptist Church with Reverends Gene Clark and Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Dianne C. Williams. Mr. Carr will also be placed in the church on Monday one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Carr was born November 11, 1921 in Dale County to the late John and Ellie Overstreet Carr. He attended Ariton School and worked in construction. Mr. Carr was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Minnie Lee Carr; sons, John Wayne and William Lawrence Carr.

Mr. Carr is survived by his daughters, Dianne C. Williams of Ozark, Sarah Sitz of Ozark; his sons, Bobby Joe Carr of Ozark, Danny Ray Carr of Albertville and Jimmy Lee Carr of Mobile; sixteen grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
