Alicia Isabel Elliott (Morrill) transitioned to the next life on June 3rd, 2022. She was 96 years old and was born in Portland, Maine on December 5th, 1925. She grew up very poor and was in numerous foster homes growing up, but never lost touch with her mother that she took care of until she passed away at the early age of 50. She worked in the Portland Maine ship building yards in her early life as a inner bottom ship welder for building the liberty ships of WWII. She is survived by her husband of 70 years William Elliott, her son William Elliott Jr and her daughter Mary Elliott, MD. She had a brother Otis (Ed) that was a year older and married to Phyllis, both now passed. They had three children, Debbie, Sandy, and Paul Morrill. She has four grandchildren from William Elliott Jr. They are Steven Elliott, Luke Elliott, Benjamin Elliott, and Kaitlyn Elliott. She has two grandchildren from Mary Elliott, MD. They are Zachary Pearson and Nicholas Pearson. Alicia’s mother was part Passamaquoddy Indian. Alicia always maintained that her mother was 50% Passamaquoddy Indian and her grandfather was full blood Passamaquoddy (residing in Maine and Canada). Alicia was always full of life and wanted to help everybody. She loved to invite everyone over and have family get togethers in Maine, at the Camp and in Florida. She looked forward to the holidays and always wanted to decorate and plan a party. She loved her Rum and Coke and would be glad to fix anyone a drink and a meal. She was blessed with a full life and touched many people and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A funeral service for Alicia will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 1:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909.
