Antonio proudly served in the Army and was a Korean War veteran. He then entered the Merchant Marine and worked for both Farrell Ship Lines and United States Lines both based in New York City. He was a member of the National Maritime Union of America. Antonio moved from Brooklyn to Brentwood, New York in 1990. After retirement he moved to Brevard County in 1993. Antonio worked part-time as a greeter at Walmart. He and his wife Carmen were members of St Joseph Catholic Church.
Antonio loved his family and was a kind and generous man, always helping out his neighbors. He was very proud of his grandson Brandon who enlisted in the Army at age 17 serving in the National Guard with a deployment to Afghanistan.
Antonio is survived by; son Antonio Figueroa, Jr. and his wife Kathy; and daughter Daisy Rasmussen and her husband Howard; grandson Brandon Figueroa, grandson Erik Rasmussen and granddaughter Christina Rasmussen.
Antonio was preceded in death by his wife Carmen Torres Figueroa.
A visitation for Antonio will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Fountainhead Funeral Home. The entombment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909.
